Batang Pilipino Basketball League-Cavite Opens July 19

BPBL or Batang Pilipino Basketball League, a nationwide grassroots initiative for engaging and mentoring Filipino kids in the sport of basketball has reached Cavite Province. According to BPBL-Cavite Provincial Coordinator and Commissioner Angelito “Coach Jay” Hernandez Jr., “BPBL-Cavite will open its games on July 19, 2022, at General Trias City Sports Center. A short program will commence and will be followed by four official games for the opener.

The tournament has two divisions, boys and girls, ages eighteen or younger who are residents of cities or towns of the province. 

For the boys’ division, twenty teams have registered with Tagaytay City fielding two teams. There will be a total of fifty-six games to be played in different venues within Cavite. As of this writing, three teams for the girls’ division have signified their intentions to join: Silang, Tagaytay, and Gentri.

8.  Rosario – Joseph Labuguen

9.  Kawit – Jay Cambarihan

10. Alfonso – John Jose Joyce Rom

11. Indang – Coaches Junroll Masicap and Keann Feraer

12. Noveleta – Lloyd Olaes

13. Bacoor City – Benjo Viola

14. Carmona – Cesar Manarin

15. Magallanes – Allister Mojica

16. General Emilio Aguinaldo (Bailen) – John Allen Tafalla Cabahug

17. General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) – Nath Nuarin

18. Maragondon – Bham Cuevas Villanueva

19. Trece Martires City – Ambet Poniente  20. Ternate – Mack Salazar.
